Find Your Purpose. It’s Easier Than You Think.

It can be a discouraging affair to suddenly look at your life in your late 40’s and feel like you never found your purpose. Some may spend their lives bouncing from dead-end job to stressful employment disaster and never feel the joy of doing work that fills them on every level. It’s a reality that can leave you feeling depressed and unsatisfied. WIthout purpose, life seems to be a sad, random experiment.

According to Psychology Today, Purpose is defined as a central, self-organizing life aim. Not having proper direction in life is certainly not the best way to feel good about oneself. As humans, we need to make sense of our existence in order to give our life meaning. Defining our purpose and unlocking the secret to our life direction can help us to embrace our reality and offer us ways to experience the profoundness of our inner power.

And here’s the thing– Every personal development coach on the planet seems to be selling the secret sauce. But here’s the truth that some won’t tell you. Finding your purpose doesn’t have to be an impossible overwhelming scavenger hunt. The process doesn’t have to involve complicated notions and strategies that paralyze you from taking appropriate action. Unveiling your purpose and finding true life direction can be as simple as becoming aware of who you are and what you really want.

Now let’s get something straight once and for all. When I say who you are, I’m not talking about who you think you are. I’m referring to the part of you that doesn’t need labels, validation or ego-crafted identity. It’s not the part of you that needs to feel needed or requires approval. Neither is it the part of you that administers self esteem for winning awards, getting credit for things and having something important to do.

When we talk about who you are, we are speaking of the pure authentic real you that has been guiding you from your higher set of principles. This is the part of you that holds the most relevant answers to your universe. Your higher self understands why you exist in this world and what you should do about it. It is where you can find the truth about your purpose. By connecting with this powerful awareness through self reflection and inner analysis, you can plant yourself on the fast track to unleashing your purpose and finding your truest most sacred life direction.

Your Purpose and Life Direction is in Your Gifts and Talents

Whether you acknowledge your special talent or hide it behind a cloud of denial, there is something unique about your character. If you are wondering about finding your purpose, you should begin to unravel such secrets by examining your gifts and talents. Each of us was born with unique abilities that were granted to us as part of our life journey. We are meant to use our gifts to better our world. Your gifts and talents hold the skill to your innate nature. Whether it’s artistic, scientific, athletic, or intellectual, these factors play a crucial role in determining what your true role is on the planet.

Your Purpose and Life Direction in Who You Wish to Serve

One of the greatest things about being human is creating connections that further the cause of love, global healing and unity. In your heart you may have a special inclination toward a unique type of individual. This is a huge indicator of your life purpose. When you feel drawn to specific groups and wish to offer them love, nurturing, wisdom and healing, then you may have very well uncovered a powerful aspect of your life purpose. In your self reflection you may soon realize that you have been granted specific gifts to be a blessing to specific people.

Your Purpose and Life Direction Exists in Your Passion.

What do you love? Who do you love? How does this love translate into your every day life? How can you use this unyielding love to be a blessing to others. Your passion will keep you revitalized in your work and you will never feel the sting of burn out because you are living in your purpose. When all of these factors come together, there is little doubt that you have found your purpose.

Do not overthink this. It doesn’t have to be a mind-bending journey. One of the most important things to remember about your purpose and unlocking your life direction is that part of our experience on earth is about learning and evolving. As we grow and develop new layers of our character, what we are able to contribute to the world will also change.

This means that our purpose can shift and change with the season as we discover and uncover our hidden potential. Sometimes our purpose is not always about doing. Many times it is about being. It is about existing in alignment with our seasons and cycles and honoring the authentic spirit of truth as we make our contribution to humanity.
